Files
Reuse uploaded files across utilities without uploading the same evidence again.
File Library Overview
The File Library shows files your active organization and access permissions let you reuse, including your uploads, organization-visible files, and eligible files shared with you.
You must also have an approved, current session. If GridWonk asks you to accept updated legal terms, complete that step in the browser before retrying a File Library action.
Uploader and visibility filters narrow the accessible list. A project-scoped consultant grant does not grant access to the organization's whole library; project documents remain available in scope.
Use File Library when you want to preview a document, refresh the list, or link an existing file to the utility currently selected in the console. From a project's Documents view, use Attach from library to add an eligible File Library file directly to that project instead of uploading a duplicate.
Linking Files To A Utility
When a utility is selected, Files shows which vault entries are already linked to that utility and state. Click Attach To Utility to reuse a file in the current utility workflow without uploading another copy.
Linked files can then appear in document-selection, validation, and assistant context for that utility. Linking does not delete the original vault asset, and the same asset can have links for more than one utility or state.
When GridWonk links a vault file to a utility, it also looks for the latest applicant-document projection for the same asset and state. That is why linked rows can show digitization and validation status when a projection exists.
Attach from library creates a separate document identity for each project while reusing the same eligible organization asset. Project versions remain independent without duplicating source bytes.
Previewing Files
Click Preview to open the PDF viewer for a File Library file. If GridWonk cannot resolve a preview document for that file, the viewer shows an error and the file remains in File Library.
Deleting Files
Click Delete to remove a file you no longer need from the File Library. Delete appears only for a file that is in no project: remove it from each project's Documents first. You can delete your own uploads; organization Owners and Admins can also delete a colleague's file they can see.
A deleted file leaves the File Library at once and is not reused if you upload the same file again. For 90 days, support can restore it: email contact@gridwonk.com. Automatic permanent deletion is not enabled yet. Removing a document from a project does not delete it from the File Library.
Native CAD Companions
A native DWG is not an ordinary File Library document. Upload it from the selected project's shared Upload Project Files control, where GridWonk safely pairs it with the exact current site-plan PDF version. The general Attach from library and Attach To Utility actions list only supported applicant document formats, so a private DWG cannot accidentally enter the PDF digitization or utility-link workflow. When native viewing is enabled, GridWonk shows an authorized derivative; it never sends the original DWG bytes to the browser.
Refresh And Pagination
Use Refresh after an upload or link operation if the list looks stale. File Library loads files in pages; click Load 200 More when more files are available.
