Keyboard Shortcuts
Available keyboard shortcuts for efficient console navigation.
The findings list has separate Critical, High, Medium, and Low groups. Its existing keyboard navigation remains unchanged; high findings no longer contribute to the Critical group heading. The shared severity labels keep those group names consistent with the finding cards; this does not change any shortcut.
Navigation Shortcuts
| Shortcut | Action | Platform |
|---|---|---|
Cmd+B | Toggle sidebar | Mac |
Ctrl+B | Toggle sidebar | Windows/Linux |
Cmd+K | Open command palette | Mac |
Ctrl+K | Open command palette | Windows/Linux |
On the utility workspace v2 the same shortcut opens the utility destination palette: Applications, Notices, Rules & Sources (Packet Requirements, Procedures), Analytics, the selected application's views, and the sidebar toggle.
Chat & Messaging Shortcuts
| Shortcut | Action | Context |
|---|---|---|
Enter | Send message | AI Assistant or Remediation Agent |
Shift+Enter | Insert new line | When typing in chat input |
The embedded assistant keeps these bindings after first-use loading. While a question is pending, the composer is disabled; use Cancel request before sending a different question.
File Management Shortcuts
| Shortcut | Action | Context |
|---|---|---|
Backspace | Remove last attachment | When text input is empty |
Cmd+V / Ctrl+V | Paste files | Paste clipboard content as attachments |
Removing Attachments
When you've attached files to a chat message, clear the text input (if any text exists), then press Backspace. The most recently attached file is removed.
Pasting Files
Copy a file in Finder/Explorer, click in the chat input, and paste (Cmd+V / Ctrl+V). The file is added as an attachment.
This shortcut only adds the file to the current web chat composer. The current assistant submit path does not forward the file bytes for analysis; use Upload Project Files in the project's Documents view when GridWonk needs to process or validate the document.
Tips for Power Users
- Toggle sidebar frequently to maximize document viewing space
- Use Enter to quickly send follow-up questions
- Multi-line messages are useful for providing context or lists
- Use the project's Upload Project Files control for document analysis rather than relying on a chat attachment
Project and lifecycle actions currently use standard button, link, select, and form-submit focus behavior. There are no dedicated keyboard shortcuts for creating projects, submitting or resubmitting projects, or opening a project from the Projects list.
The PDF evidence viewer also supports ArrowLeft or PageUp for the previous page and ArrowRight or PageDown for the next page. These page shortcuts run only while the evidence viewer is visible. While the pointer or the focus is on the viewer, Cmd++ and Cmd+- (Ctrl++ / Ctrl+- on Windows/Linux) zoom in and out through fixed steps, Cmd+0 (Ctrl+0) returns to fit width, and Cmd+scroll (Ctrl+scroll) or a trackpad pinch zooms around the pointer; the viewer's zoom menu also offers fit page, actual size, and fixed percentages. Anywhere else those keys keep their browser meaning. When the page is larger than the viewer, drag it with the mouse to pan around it. The sanitized document preview offers the same zoom controls, shortcuts, pinch and drag-to-pan: the Documents-tab Preview and the upload preview in the developer console, and the application Documents preview in the utility console. Zoom does not change where review tasks are completed; the preview is read-only. If its preview fails, use Try again without leaving the current Findings view. While the deficiency panel has focus, use j/ArrowDown and k/ArrowUp to move focus, Enter/Space to expand the focused deficiency, and Escape to collapse it. Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux) opens the command palette for jumping to any destination, project view, or review tab. [ and ] step to the previous and next project document while the Findings tab is active; in the cohort-gated Checks workspace, the same keys step through the previous and next queued project. Cmd+\ (Ctrl+\ on Windows/Linux) shows or hides the findings panel of the desktop split view, and the document workspace offers a Full screen mode that Esc exits. Cmd+K and Cmd+\ keep working while a Review toolbar disclosure such as readiness or the document switcher is open; they stand down only for a full dialog, which owns the keyboard while it is up.
